War between Canada and the US over Fresh water supplies

Experts say that the Us and Canada will war over fresh water supplies in the great lakes. OK, Canada, but just keep this in mind: Our Army units have nicknames like the "All Americans", the "Screaming Eagles", and "Rangers". You have the Princess Patricia Light Infantry. Get away from our lakes.

Of course I was joking about "our" lakes, but if a war did start, could an Army with a unit called "Princess Patricia's light Infantry last very long? Once a Patricia, always a Patricia!!

I doubt war between Canada and the U.S. would be waged over the Great Lakes. It's pretty obvious they all fall along the border. It is also quite evident Lake Michigan lies solely in U.S. territory. However, there will certainly be many disputes over how the water is used. Piping the water to the south west so that people can build homes where they should never have been built in the first place is not our problem or the problem of anyone else who lives in the Great Lakes region. Pipe the water from the Gulf or Pacific and pay to have it desalinated. They're closer.

The Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry is one of the world's most well respected units. It has a very long history and has served in both world wars, Korea, and Afghanistan. It was the PPCLI who, along with the Aussies, held off a vastly larger Chinese forces at Kapyong for three days. For this they recieved the Presidential Unit Citation. Sure it's kind of a feminine name, but the Pats are some of the best soldiers out there. Read up a bit on your history before you post, Yank.

I'm pretty sure Mark was joking. I also see that Mark is in the U.S. Army so it is more than likely he has actualy trained with the PPCLI. If not them, then some other unit. I know a few friends in the Canadian Army and they have all mentioned being the states or them coming up here for training missions.

I'm sure there would be a diplomatic solution. But if you guys were to attack, you would probably need to know a little about Canada first. For example its capital. No... its not Toronto or Montreal or Vancouver.

Yall, reguardless of the water disputes or anyother differences our countries may have, but all of our lives are getting ready to change from the events unfolding around the world. The point im trying to make is that we are allies and our two nations need to start focusing on how we are going to survive the events that are taking place. i might sound crazy and maybe i am but think about the possibility that the nations that we love and are willing to sacrifice ourselves for suddenly crumbling all around us. i love my country i live in the United States, but i also know enough history about Canadian and U.S. relations to feel comfortable that we will back one another up against anything that may threaten either of our nations... yall jus think about it. Also we have to stop the degrading of one anothers military just because of the nickname given to them forever ago. Also we Americans need to reconize that the Canadian military has lost more soldiers than the United States has in their effort to put an end to terrorism in the middle east. I think we as a Nation should be more appreciative than we have been towards our Canadian allies. And remember this is jus the point of view from a southern Alabama High School senior... And it worries me that im watching our world being destroyed and no one seems to care...
